Utopia

The ever-evolving WordPress theme

Utopia is a WordPress theme that constantly evolves, fulfilling every desire that users have.

From Copyright Text to CTAs and Social Links: What Utopia’s Footer Settings Can Do

On many WordPress themes, changing the copyright line or the social links in the footer means editing a child theme or adding custom code.

Utopia includes a “Footer Settings” screen that lets you adjust the copyright text, CTA, menu, widgets, and social links, all without writing a line of code.

You’ll find it under “Utopia” then “Footer Settings” in the admin menu.

The copyright text can be set independently for the Japanese and English versions of your site.

Leave it blank and Utopia automatically displays your site name and the current year instead.

You can choose the position, left, center, or right, and set the text color and background color to match your design.

Turning on “Enable Footer CTA” adds a call-to-action section above the copyright line.

The CTA text and link URL are set separately for Japanese and English, so each language gets its own message.

You can customize the button’s background and text color, plus the CTA area’s own background and text color, to match your brand.

Button position, left, center, or right, and top and bottom spacing from 0 to 120px, 32px by default, are also adjustable.

The footer menu supports its own position setting, left, center, or right, and text color.

Footer widgets let you set one color scheme for the whole widget area, then override the background and text color for each of the four widget columns individually.

That makes it easy to give the footer a distinct look from the rest of the site, or to differentiate one widget column from another.

The bottom of the footer can display social icon links.

Utopia supports X, formerly Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LINE.

You can set the icon position, left, center, or right, and color, and leave any URL field blank to hide that icon.

Footer Settings covers everything from copyright text to CTAs, menus, widgets, and social links, all without an extra plugin or custom code.

A good first step is opening “Utopia” then “Footer Settings” and filling in the Japanese and English copyright text along with your social link URLs.

Changes apply immediately, so you can adjust them safely even on a live site.
